My fiance and I ordered a dress for our wedding. We paid the down payment upon placing the order. After recieving the dress (and paying the remaining balance), we noticed some chalk marks on the dress. We returned the dress to the store. The assistant store manager told us that it would need to be cleaned, they would call when it was ready. After a week, we called and they informed us that they were not able to clean it, so they had ordered a new one. We called back to get an ETA on the new dress. For 3 weeks no one was able to confirm the ETA. We picked out another dress. Now they will not refund our money and don't have a dress for us. I have left messages for the regional manager, Kelly Oliver, all week and have not received a call back.

Hello,
I have just come home from the worst retail experience of my life...
I picked up my bridesmaid's dress at Alfred Angelo, Los Angeles, a few weeks ago, and wasn't happy with how the "Empire dress" fit me. The salesgirl dismissed my unhappieness, told me I looked great, and made me feel as though I was crazy and should leave.....I took the dress home, tried it on for a seamstress, who said THE DRESS WAS MADE WRONG, THERE IS A DESIGN FLAW, and the dress had to be rebuilt to ever land properly on any body, not just mine.... She told me to take it back to where I purchased it, and that they should alter it.
I am well aware that Empire dresses gather the way that they do, but this particular dress, style 7002 , has an obvious design flaw that has a huge poof in the middle. It would need to be completely reconstructed to fit properly...Which leads me to believe that if this is the case, there is a problem with the dress...
I spoke with the seamstress, Mary, who was bitchy and defensive from the second I spoke to her, and said, "Well, what do you want me to do?"
"Well, I said, fix my dress. That's why I'm here...Let me start over." She sent me over to one of the sales girls, who in turn, said, "Oh, yes, we've been getting a lot of complaint about that style" I was told that it isn't a design flaw at all. EVEN THOUGH, EVERYONE, INCLUDING THE MANAGER, SAID THAT THE DRESS SHOULDN'T LOOK THAT WAY....The salesgirl stormed off, saying, Well, obviously, I can't make you happy!"
I DO NOT FEEL THAT I SHOULD PAY AS MUCH MONEY AS THE DRESS COST TO HAVE IT REBUILT TO FIT MY VERY NORMAL SHAPED BODY. THE DRESS WAS DESIGNED WRONG, AND NOT ONE OF YOUR EMPLOYEES WANTED TO ADMIT IT RIGHT OUT. THEY SAID, YES, THIS DRESS HAS BEEN A PROBLEM, BUT IT'S YOUR PROBLEM
I WAS SO SHOCKED BY THIS. MY MANNER WAS CALM, I WAS ASKING FOR HELP. ISN'T THE CUSTOMER ALWAYS RIGHT??
Finally, the store manager, a women with a thick accent, I did not catch her name, did nothing to help, actually could care less...Dismissed me altogether. Extremely cold, and indifferent.
I walked out of your store, shaking, and thinking how lucky I was that I wasn't the one getting married.......Poor brides...
I will pay to have the dress altered, but I would never have your company do the work.
I am getting married in 2 years, my sister is also, and I will NEVER RECOMMEND your store to anyone.
What kind of a store are you running?? I would like an apology.
Sincerely,
Very A Very Unhappy Customer
