COUNTERFEIT BUSINESS ALERT: Bridal Discounters aka Netbirde aka Rush's Bridal aka ?

Bridaldisounters.com ? Who are their? Are they being run out of the back of a car? Are they even in this country? Of course the million dollar question, are the gowns real?

Bridal Discounters is no better than a street vendor in Manhattan. They have done their best to hide their true identity by not posting their real company name on their website. We have found buried deep in their site the information below:

MAILING ADDRESS:
BridalDiscounters.Com

Phone: 888-88GOWNS(46967)
e-mail: andy@bridaldiscounters.com

The above information tells me that they are a shady operation. Andy or Tom? What is this?

Well, I know who they are. This is a yet again, another attempt by Netbride to hide their problems and complaints. Netbride is known for sending out bogus dresses to unsuspecting brides and bridesmaids.

To further the truth, this is also known as RUSH's Bridal as www.rushs.com . Why so many names and why the fraud? Is this because after 50 years, Rush's bridal is known for deceptive practices?

From Netbride to us: (With a little editing by yours truly.)

We are a family owned business that has been selling bridal gowns and accessories since 1948. (As Netbride.com?, I guess they invented the internet.)

We have over 50 years of experience in serving satisfied brides. (Same as above with a dot com?)

We brought our business to the Internet in 1995... which has allowed us to serve customers Worldwide (over 38 countries and growing). (Thought they were in business over 50 years as a dot com? Who are you?)

It Matters Who You Order Your Gowns From. (Really, then why do you hide your name?)

We own our own building debt-free, have never taken out bank loans to cover operating costs, have a AAA credit rating with Dun&Bradstreet; , and AAA credit with all of our factory vendors. (Who are you trying to impress? Enron was also debt-free and AAA rated. As a matter of fact, so was Bernie Madoff's business)

Taking these things into account, you are as secure (if not more secure) ordering on the internet from us than buying from the shop in your town -- you could not be in better hands than you are with us. Speaking of secure, if you order on-line through our SECURE SERVER, your credit card information is safe. (I would believe this if we knew who you were.)

How We Can Quote Such Good Prices/Where We Get Our Gowns: (By knocking them off in China)

We can give such good prices because we sell our gowns all over the world, and make up for the prices with volume. (Dont forget that we also knock them off.)

We also have extremely low overhead (no high rent or large staff), and do not have to pay sales commissions to our consultants. (That is because we work out of our home.)

We place most of our orders directly with the factory-designer through our bridal shop; (In China with our designers who make knockoff dresses)

we place some of our orders by networking with other bridal shops. (This is against the rules of the real designers and manufacturers. Its called Transhipping in the bridal world)

One thing you can count on: you get the gown you want, brand new, made by the factory-designer you ordered. We guarantee this. (And you wont get your money back if you are not happy)

Our Guarantee:
You will receive the gown you order (Even if it is not what you want)
, brand new from the (Our fraudulant) designer. All gowns are shipped insured. Our company stands behind our guarantee. (Or you can complain, but you will still be stuck with a crappy dress)

Would you feel comfortable ordering anything from a moving name target of a business? What guarantee do you have from what company? If you buy from one, do they stand behind the other company name? What if you have a problem? Who do you call? Ghostbusters?

My question to Andy Rush is, "What next, Bridal Smugglers?"

RK Bridal (as seen on the Apprentice and Bankruptcy Court) Going out of Business ?

RK Bridal (as seen on the Apprentice and Bankruptcy Court)
318 West 39th St. (Between 8th & 9th Ave.)
New York City, NY 10018

Our sources have told us that the long standing RK Bridal is facing problems and may be on the brink of extinction. This going out of business will make a big impact on the internet bride looking for great deals. We have not heard many complaints about RK Bridal and it seems that most brides find the store fair with prices.

Wonder if the Donald will bail them out like Trapper John M.D. did with the Kleinfeld Bridal ? This is what makes T.V. Bridal Shows. All fake.....

Please note that our sources on this matter need to be verified. We will update this post as soon as we hear the final answer of this.

RK Bridal Complaint - Not the first bad review

RK BRIDAL...HORRIBLE..>WORST EVER...RIP OFF..UPDATE

RK BRIDAL was horrible.....A NIGHTMARE...Gilda was a nice salesperson, but they are very pushy...They pressured me into buying my gown. It was exactly what I wanted and they took advantage of that. She pressured me to get it too soon, and when I went home, I found it on HOUSE OF BRIDES.COM for $350.00...when I just bought it from RK BRIDAL for over $1200. Talk about a rip off....I called them immediately because of their no frills, will beat them by 5% policy...well that is only if you didn't purchase it already...they need the info ahead of time...they hadn't even processed order yet and they wouldn't budge....PLus they ordered my dress about 6 sizes too large, and then I found out that the minimum alterations is $350....they order TOO BIG on purpose to make money on the alterations...I will be pissed if the dress looks funny because they have to take it in..I even contemplated cancelling the order, eating the $500 deposit and ordering from houseofbrides, only to find out that if you cancel your order, they still charge the remaining balance of the dress to your credit card....what a RIP OFF...please save yourselves the trouble and go somewhere else...they aren't worth it....I feel horrible that I got taken advantage of. Since I wrote this I have picked up my dress. I had to wait 45minutes to be taken care of, only to find them searching for my dress.. AND IT WAS RIPPED....someone wore it, it was dirty, and the jacket that comes with it was sliced, torn, damaged.... Also I ordered 2 yards of satin fabric, to make a sash, and it wasn't two yards at all, and there were two huge chunks taken out of the fabric, like someone took fabric for a swatch. The owner REED, wasn't helpful and did nothing to rectify the situation. He won't replace the fabric, which they said was going to be $40, and was over $100, or the jacket to the gown. He was RIDICULOUS and NOT GOOD AT CUSTOMER SERVICE OR SATISFACTION. I froze my credit card payment and will not be paying them for the damaged merchandise. They have officially ruined my wedding!!!

Badddddddd

Pls alot of people have complained so there is obviously a problem with your service. Your customer service is horrible. Your employees and management are so rude and you all are liers. I'll never go there ever and I wouldn't recommend your store to anyone.

Spare yourself and shop somewhere else

I recently purchased my wedding dress from RK Bridal; My bridesmaids all purchased their dresses from there as well. A tip for all those looking for a pleasant shopping experience - DO NOT shop at RK Bridal. From the moment we stepped into their store, the entire staff had an attitude problem. If we showed up an hour before they closed, they made sure to tell us repeatedly that they were closing and that we needed to hurry up. If we showed up earlier, they ignored us. None of the attendents would answer any questions we had about dresses and actually rolled their eyes and walked away! Most of my bridesmaids were talked into purchasing dresses that were two sizes too big so that the store could then charge them for alterations. The bigger the dress-the more work needs to be done. When one bridesmaid went in for a fitting and needed to take in the dress further, they did not want to do the extra work. My wedding dress was so big, that I had to take it in almost a size and a half. The entire staff, except for Emily was rude, dismissive and hostile. If there had been another store that carried the wedding dress that I had wanted, I would never have bought it there. I wasn't asking for any special attention, just a little acknowledgment and friendliness.

Better Business Bureau President Apologizes For 'Errors' In Grading System

Repost from 20/20 about the BBB:

In the wake of an ABC News investigation of the Better Business Bureau's controversial grading system, the national president of the BBB has apologized to consumers and business owners for "errors," and BBB leaders met Tuesday in a special session to discuss reforms to the system.

Alison Southwick, media relations manager for the BBB, said that as a result of today's meeting, the organization is "considering a critical course of action which requires further work and research before we announce our concrete next steps." In an announcement on its web site, the BBB had said that the group's Executive Committee was gathering today to discuss "ways to improve the BBB's rating system."

"As has been pointed out in the media, we have made some errors, said Steve Cox, president and CEO of the Council of Better Business Bureaus. Cox said the BBB leadership is "taking a hard look at our ratings system to ensure that the information we provide is meaningful to consumers."

"It has been pointed out that some of our practices have not measured up to the standards consumers and business owners expect from the BBB, and for that we apologize," said Cox. "We can and will do better." The ABC News report showed how a group of Los Angeles business owners paid $425 to the Better Business Bureau and were able to obtain an A minus grade for a non-existent company called Hamas, named after the Middle East terror group. In another case, the BBB also awarded an A minus rating to a non-existent sushi restaurant in Santa Ana, California and an A plus to a white supremacist website called Stormfront.
